HALLOWEEN LOCK-IN

October 31, 2008 10pm-7am

Our Halloween Lock-in is Friday, October 31. The cost for this event is $10. I really need your help with two things- arrival & dress.

First, we will begin the lock-in at 10pm. Due to ball games I know that not everyone can be there immediately at 10. We will begin games and snacks at 11pm. I am asking that everyone please be inside the doors by 11:15pm.  If your teen comes after 11:15pm I need them to be accompanied by an adult. If this is not possible I need you to contact me ASAP. I will be shutting off my cell phone on Friday, 10/31 from Noon to 8pm. I am asking you to contact me before Friday. Thanks for your understanding. If you have any questions please call Micheal ASAP.

Secondly, we are asking the teens to dress up for a costume contest where the winner will receive a $50 cash prize. Some time ago, people started seeing Halloween as a time where they could dress in skimpy dresses or lingerie and get away with it. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR SEXY or DEMONIC HALLOWEEN COSTUMES. The adults who volunteer to help out and I will reserve the right to tell your teen that their costume is inappropriate for a church event. Please help us by helping guide your teen to choosing a costume that is appropriate. Thank you in advance.  If you have any questions please call Micheal.

CHIalpha SERVE

Join us for our second outing to Sterling House Retirement Center to encourage and hang out the residents. We will leave the building at 5:45pm and will return at 7:15pm. We had such a great time last month. Please help us as we put smiles on the faces of the residents. 

ACU PREVIEW WEEKEND

November 6-8, 2008

Interested in Abilene Christian University? We will be attending the preview weekend scheduled for Nov. 6-8. The cost of this trip is $45. Students will stay on campus, eat meals in the cafeteria, attend chapel, and have the opportunity to attend classes. We will leave Thursday night and will return Saturday evening. Sign up for this trip by contacting Micheal or by signing up on the youth ministry board in the auditorium. Deadline for signing up is Nov. 2.

SKI TRIP

March 14-18, 2008

We began sign-ups for our Spring Break Ski Trip last Sunday. I have attached the flyer to this email. You can reserve your spot on the trip by giving me a deposit of $50 per person or $100 per family. Please sign up and pay your deposit quickly as spots are filling up. I would like to have the trip filled by Nov. 23.
